The internet smiley exists for 30 year! This emoticon inspired Antoine Peters to design the SMILE; a sock covered with dozens of little smileys which make you literally walk around with a smile. The SMILE is complemented with exuberant color variations of the Effio classics EARTH, BASE and SQUARE.

Antoine: "Optimism already is a constant central theme within my work. And recently we celebrated that Scott Fahlman typed the very first :-) on 19 september 1982. With these socks I want to celebrate optimism in general. RIght now in times of crisis I want to let people walk around with a smile. in the first instance you're wearing socks for your own good. But cross your legs and let you pants work up a little when you're sitting in the train. You will make the world a little happier."

The socks are available in selected shops and via www.effio.eu.

The scarf contains a graphic of crude oil in which various symbols of religions and pop culture are awaiting to be discovered. With the HOPE series, Peters investigates the relationships between capitalism, power, belief and nature without prejudgment. His goal is to draw new connections and urge his audience into engaging in thoughtful dialogue.

This scarf emphasizes on the increasing mash up of cultures and how to get along with each other.

Antoine Peters: "When someone sees connections between religion and being covered in oil, it probably comes from somewhere. However, it would be unfortunate if people only see the negative. With help of the negative I can illuminate the positive. For me, it's all about hope. For some, hope may be about wearing a chain with a cross. For others, hope is the belief in love, or the belief in the potential of the internet to create a better world. This project focuses on how to get along with each other and the world. Hope, in whatever form, breathes life into life."

Presented in collaboration with Salon/ during Istanbul Biennial and Salon/ Amsterdam.

Inspired by the inevitable seam construction of the sock; the foot and heel. Often, these are a dissonant within the design, making a stripe or block pattern disrupted shortly. Now this is part of the design deliberately! The HUG has an eye-catching gradient where two colors increasingly – and with surgical evenness – mingle towards the middle of the sock. ‘The colors already did, but are you’re feet ready to HUG?’ The BANG is inspired on the for Effio characteristic check, which Peters lets explode all over the sock. Putting this special sock on your feet provides an explosion of joy for the wearer and the foot. ‘BANG!’ Antoine Peters: “I always wear two different socks, because why would you wear two of the same? For me socks are like a daily little party!” Available in selected shops in the benelux and worldwide delivery via the webshop.

An interactive installation featuring customized seating objects for Quinze & Milan x Eastpak’s Built to Resi(s)t collection and a collection of special accessories. For ten days, gallery-goers were invited to deface the sofa’s by coloring right onto them. A welcome gesture between all the ‘design’ you hardly were allowed to touch! Also, it begs that classic question from personality quizzes: If you were a crayon, what color would you be?

This limited EASTPAK x ANTOINE PETERS collection followed collabs with prominent designers as Raf Simons, Rick Owens and Gaspard Yurkievich. This time carrying an EASTPAK bag gets really special, because ANTOINE PETERS didn't color in his graphics by purpose: you can do it yourself! This way every bag gets self customized and unique. Antoine: "For me fashion is about spreading a little smile. And these bags take care of that for sure. Just by putting a little love in them yourself, or by catching the looks of other people's eyes because of the personal way you've colored between the lines. You can color the bag completely ton-sur-ton with black or as crazy if you like. But you don't have to. Because on the sly I already colored in the lips with red." For availability please check eastpak.com.

United Nude and ANTOINE PETERS joined forces and combined the qualities of both brands: concept, elegance and innovation. The complete boot, inclusive the fancy shaped heel, contains a horizontal ‘arrowprint’ which ‘moves’ with the parading movement of the feet. A collaboration with conceptual yet sexy fashionable ‘must have boots’ as its result. Sold all over the world in the United Nude flagshipstores and selected retailers.

Based upon the playfull play between both brands TIC TAC TOE is a playful line of designs that subtly brings humor and fashion together. The collection consists of 17 pieces for men and women. The features of the game literally emerge in print, silhouette and details. For example, a sweater forms a circle when the pouch is used, an elegant dress has a huge pen stroke going right through the middle, in the lining of a jacket the game is played dozens of times, buttons have contrasting pen blue stripes and with the necklace the game can be actually played!

In times where people are speaking about old socks filled with saved money, Effio and Antoine Peters launch a booming collection designer socks. Within this period of crisis Effio and Antoine Peters are going back to the core of living with socks named WATER, EARTH & FLOWER. Not meant for euro's but for feet who stand for something. A collection with tough wide bars, sophisticated thin stripes en a subtle opening little flower. All within diverse carefully selected color variations.Peters: "I liked it to give a wink, but especially to create light within the darker period we life in. No flying capital, but back to the core values of mother earth: WATER, EARTH & FLOWER. This series also refers to the already third collaboration with Effio. A beautiful flower which is sprouted from the earth and water is the perfect symbolic for it. It resulted in outspoken socks, full of contrasts and cheerful colors." Available in selected shops in the benelux and worldwide delivery via the webshop.
